Study of the biophysical properties of the neurons in rats after exposure to cocaine

    Description of Project:
My research project studies the Ih current, a current that is crucial for many neurophysiological processes, such as excitability and pace-making activity. It has been demonstrated that chronic exposure to cocaine induces a reduction on it. By investigating its protein channels, one of the aims is finding treatments for the neuroadaptations induced by cocaine.
