Our research group is studying whether Puerto Rican honeybees prefer <\/span>ethanol laced<\/span> nectar or a sugar-based solution and how that might affect their behavior and gene expression. Using an artificial flower patch with varying ethanol concentrations, we track their consumption preferences to <\/span>later analyze<\/span> any genetic changes that might explain their choice.
