Every year, the NeuroID cohort that is currently in their second year are guided and encouraged to apply for research summer experience at a university in the USA. These summer, Alfredo Frontero<\/a>, member of the Cohort #14 was accepted to join the 2025 Summer Undergraduate Program at Yale University and this is what he shared with us…<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

“During my summer at Yale University\u2019s Wu Tsai Institute, I worked on the development of a Vision Transformer model to detect autism-related neural patterns in mouse models. My research was 82% accurate in distinguishing between mice with autism-associated gene mutations and controls. I worked under the mentorship of Dr. Josu\u00e9 Ortega Caro and Dr. Jessica Cardin, learning advanced machine learning techniques and calcium imaging data analysis.” – A. Alfredo presented his work at the Yale Summer Symposium, where he received valuable feedback from researchers and graduate students. In addition, he had the opportunity to participated in the Yale Python bootcamp and attended various seminars on computational neuroscience and cognition, expanding my knowledge at the intersection of AI and neuroscience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
