For Women In Science L’Oréal and the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus is a virtual event that will take place on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 4:00 pm via Zoom. At this event, Dr. Nancy Padilla-Coreano will share her story, academic background, and recent investigation. In addition, her journey with “For Women in Science” for being the first Puerto Rican to be awarded the “2020 For Women in Science (FWIS) fellowship“. Dr, Padilla, is a neuroscientist and postdoctoral fellow at Dr. Kay Tye’s Laboratory, Salk Institute for Biological Studies.
The FWIS fellowship is a program that awards every year five women postdoctoral scientists with grants for their contributions in STEM fields and commitment to serving as role models for younger generations.
